In Maroantsetra — an isolated region often described as a land island within Madagascar — we will explore its unique wildlife. Domestic flights operate only once every one to two weeks, and ferries run at most once a week when sea conditions allow. With frequent rainfall throughout the year and an ecosystem completely distinct from the rest of the country, this area is truly a treasure trove of Madagascar’s rarest species.
