Wataru HIMENO

I’m honored to share that my article “Herping in Okinawa” has been published in the latest issue of the Responsible Herpetoculture Journal, one of the most respected amphibian and reptile magazines in the world.

I am especially grateful that the editorial team recognized the value of my ongoing Japanese herping conservation efforts and encouraged me to share them with a global audience. Their support has given me great motivation for my future work.

I am also truly delighted to have the opportunity to introduce the unique wildlife of Okinawa and Kagoshima—places I deeply love—to readers around the world.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in the publication, who kindly provided invaluable advice to help refine my writing.

The journal is available for purchase worldwide at the link below.
I would be honored if you’d take a look.
